Fully Funded Lincoln University awards scholarships to both domestic and international students according to a range of criteria. The wide range of scholarships allows students to study and grow at Aotearoa New Zealand’s specialist land-based university, while covering all or some of their tuition fees and/or living costs.

We offer eight other scholarships specifically for Māori and Pasifika students. These have an equivalent value of at least $5000. Full details on each of these, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, can be found here

In addition to flagship scholarships, we also offer a limited number of scholarships to assist you in specific circumstances, for studying specific programmes or to nurture higher academic results. These scholarships vary in value.

Application deadlines for new students starting in 2024 and 2025

If you are a new student, please note that you will need to submit your study application before the relevant deadline outlined below, depending on which semester you are applying for. We recommend applying early.

New international students (offshore)New domestic students (and international students currently living and studying in New Zealand)

Note: If you are a current student looking to move to a higher level of study (such as from an undergraduate to a postgraduate programme), we highly recommend applying before the above deadlines, even if you are waiting on results for your current qualification.

Making a study application is a simple process. You can apply now, even if you are still waiting on exam results. Follow the steps below to complete your application.

1. Create your MyLinc account

2. Make your study application

3. Receive your offer

4. Check any conditions on your offer letter

5. Accept your offer on MyLinc


The next step will be enrolling, once you have heard from the admissions team.

Complete your enrolment

We recommend that you start this process early to be ready for lectures. If the semester you are enrolling for is within the current year, you can enrol as soon as you have accepted your offer.

If you are enrolling for the following year, enrolment will open on 1 October in the preceding year.
